Slovenia: Industrial sector returns to growth in September
The industrial sector picked up in September, with growth in annual terms rising to 1.9% after coming in flat in August. The upturn was led by a slight acceleration in the manufacturing sector, along with a softer contraction in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning and water supply sector. Meanwhile, the mining and quarrying expanded at largely the same pace.
On a month-on-month basis, industrial output rose 0.4% in September after falling 2.5% in August. Meanwhile, average annual growth in industrial production inched up to 2.6% in September from 2.5%.
