Slovenia: Annual consumer prices fall at a softer pace in June
Consumer prices increased 1.29% in June over the last month, accelerating from May’s 0.87% rise. June’s figure marked the sharpest increase in prices since March 2011. Looking at the details of the release, housing, electricity, gas and other fuels prices accelerated in June compared to the previous month, while prices pressures for transportation picked up pace as well.
Consumer prices fell 0.3% year-on-year in June, above May’s 1.2% drop. Annual average inflation fell to 1.0% in June (May: 1.3%). Harmonized prices fell 0.8% on an annual basis in June, which was a more modest drop compared to May’s 1.4% decrease.
