Slovenia: Harmonized inflation drops to lowest level since March 2022 in June
Harmonized inflation dropped to 6.6% in June, following May’s 8.1%. June’s reading represented the weakest inflation rate since March 2022. The deceleration was broad-based, with lower price pressures recorded for food and housing and utilities. Moreover, transportation prices fell at a steeper rate. That said, prices for recreation increased at a steeper pace.
Annual average harmonized inflation fell to 9.9% in June (May: 10.3%). Meanwhile, consumer price inflation fell to 6.9% in June, from the previous month’s 8.4%.
Finally, harmonized consumer prices increased 0.90% in June over the previous month, matching May’s reading.
