Slovenia: Harmonized inflation falls to lowest level since October 2021 in November
Harmonized inflation dropped to 4.5% in November, following October’s 6.6%. November’s result marked the lowest inflation rate since October 2021 but came in well above the Euro area average of 2.4%. The decline was broad-based, but chiefly reflected a sharp fall in inflation for housing and utilities. Prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages, transportation, and recreation also grew at a more subdued pace.
Accordingly, the trend pointed down, with annual average harmonized inflation coming in at 7.8% in November (October: 8.3%). Meanwhile, consumer price inflation fell to 4.9% in November, from the previous month’s 6.9%.
Lastly, harmonized consumer prices dropped 0.80% from the previous month in November, swinging from the 0.40% increase recorded in October. November’s result marked the weakest reading since April 2020.
