Slovenia: Harmonized inflation increases in August
Harmonized inflation increased to 6.1% in August from July’s 5.7%. Looking at the details of the release, prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages increased at a slower rate in August. Additionally, housing and utilities price growth moderated. In contrast, prices for transportation dropped at a less pronounced rate.
Accordingly, annual average harmonized inflation fell to 8.9% in August (July: 9.4%). Meanwhile, consumer price inflation ticked up to 6.2% in August, from July’s 6.1%.
Finally, harmonized consumer prices rose 0.20% over the previous month in August, after the flat result logged in July.
