Slovenia: Harmonized inflation increases in September
Harmonized inflation came in at 7.1% in September, up from August’s 6.1%. Looking at the details of the release, prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages rose at a more moderate rate in September, while prices for transportation fell at a less pronounced pace. Meanwhile, housing and utilities prices grew at a quicker pace.
The trend pointed down, with annual average harmonized inflation coming in at 8.6% in September (August: 8.9%). Meanwhile, consumer price inflation rose to 7.4% in September, from the previous month’s 6.2%.
Finally, harmonized consumer prices increased 0.70% in September over the previous month, picking up from August’s 0.20% rise.
