Slovenia: Harmonized inflation remains stable in March
Harmonized inflation came in at 3.4% in March, matching February’s reading. March’s figure was the joint-highest inflation rate since December 2023. Looking at the details of the release, prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages rose at a softer pace in March. In contrast, prices for transportation increased at a quicker pace.
The trend pointed down, with annual average harmonized inflation coming in at 5.6% in March (February: 6.2%). Meanwhile, consumer price inflation ticked up to 3.6% in March, from the previous month’s 3.4%.
Finally, harmonized consumer prices rose 0.60% in March over the previous month, matching February’s reading.
