Slovenia: Inflation falls to over three-year low in March
Consumer prices fell 0.8 over the previous month in March, contrasting February’s 0.7% increase. The downturn chiefly reflected lower prices in the electricity, gas and other fuels subcomponent largely due to an enforced reduction in electricity prices by the government.
Meanwhile, inflation plummeted to 0.5% (February: 2.0%), its lowest reading since December 2016, while harmonized inflation fell to 0.7% from 2.0% in the previous month. Lastly, annual average inflation ticked down to 1.7% in March (February: 1.8%).
