Slovenia: Inflation inches down to August
Consumer prices rose 0.1% over the previous month in August, following a 0.9% month-on-month drop in July. Four out of the 12 categories recorded higher prices, four of them recorded stable prices compared to a month ago, while the remaining four saw a decline in prices. Prices for recreation and culture rose the most, while prices for furnishing, household equipment and routine household maintenance fell by the biggest magnitude.
Inflation inched down to 1.8% in August, from 1.9% in July. Harmonized consumer prices came in flat over the previous month in August, after a 0.8% month-on-month drop in July. Meanwhile, harmonized inflation inched down to 2.0% in August, from 2.1% in July. Annual average harmonized inflation in August inched down to 1.8% in August, from 1.7% in July.
