Slovenia: Inflation picks up June
Consumer prices increased 0.3% over the previous month in June, following a 0.9% month-on-month upturn in May. The print reflected higher food prices, which more than offset a drop in the costs of housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels. Meanwhile, harmonized consumer prices also rose 0.3% month-on-month in June, down from May’s 0.8% result.
Inflation climbed to 1.8% in June (May: 1.4%), while harmonized inflation edged up to 1.9% (May: 1.6%). Annual average harmonized inflation, meanwhile, remained at 1.8%.
