Slovenia: Inflation inches up in March
Consumer prices continued on an upward trend, increasing 0.3% over the previous month in March, following a 0.7% month-on-month increase in February. Nine out the 12 sub-components saw an increase in prices, led by a notable jump in the prices for clothing and footwear. Meanwhile, prices declined in the remaining three sub-components, with recreation and culture experiencing the biggest drop in prices.
Inflation in March mirrored February’s print of 1.2%. Harmonized consumer prices rose 0.4% over the previous month in March, after rising 0.6% mom in the previous month. Meanwhile, harmonized inflation creeped up to 1.5% in March from 1.4% in February. Annual average harmonized inflation also inched up to 1.5% in March from 1.4% in February.
