Spain: Housing permits plunge in April
The Spanish Board of Architects approved 6,604 new construction permits in April, according to data published by the Ministry of Public Works. The figure was below the 9,175 permits granted in April 2021 and the 11,065 permits granted in March 2022. On an annual basis, permits shrank 28.0%, contrasting March’s 28.6% rise.
Meanwhile, the moving three-month sum of permits totaled 26,035 in April, which represented a 1.7% increase from the same period of 2021, and followed the 19.1% rise recorded in March.
