Spain: Harmonized inflation rebounds in July
Harmonized inflation rose to 2.1% in July from 1.6% in June, when it marked an over two-year low. A softer decline in prices of transportation and a rebound in prices for fuels and lubricants for personal vehicles were behind the acceleration.
The trend declined, with annual average harmonized inflation coming in at 5.6% in July (June: 6.0%). Meanwhile, core inflation rose to 6.2% in July from 5.9% in June.
Lastly, harmonized consumer prices fell 0.08% in July over the previous month, following the 0.58% increase seen in June.
