Spain: Harmonized inflation drops in June
Harmonized inflation came in at 3.6% in June, which was down from May’s 3.8%. Looking at the details of the release, prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages, and transportation rose at slower rates.
Annual average harmonized inflation rose to 3.2% in June (May: 3.0%). Meanwhile, consumer price inflation fell to 3.4% in June from the previous month’s 3.6%.
Lastly, harmonized consumer prices increased 0.40% in June over the previous month, picking up from the 0.23% rise recorded in May.
