Sweden: Economic sentiment declines in January
The economic tendency indicator (ETI) fell in January to 110.1 from 116.3 in December. Readings above 100 indicate stronger economic growth than normal, while readings below 100 indicate weaker economic growth than normal.
The fall was mainly due to a decline in the retail and service subsector confidence indicators. Meanwhile, the consumer confidence sub-indicator dropped to 90.1 in January from 98.3 in December, while the business confidence sub-indicator dropped to 110.5 in January from 115.7 in the prior month.
