Sweden: Industrial output expands at quickest pace since April in September
Industrial output—excluding energy—increased 2.3% in month-on-month seasonally adjusted terms in September, which was above August’s 1.2% increase. September’s figure marked the best reading since April. Looking at the details of the release, the pickup reflected a redound in mining and quarrying production. Moreover manufacturing output expanded at a faster pace.
On an annual basis, industrial output rose at a softer pace of 2.7% in September (August: +2.9% yoy). Accordingly, the trend pointed down, with the annual average growth of industrial production coming in at 1.8%, down from August’s 2.2%.
