Sweden: Industrial output growth gains steam in January
Industrial production increased 2.4% month on month in seasonally adjusted terms in January, accelerating markedly from December’s 0.9% increase. Looking at the details of the release, January’s stronger growth chiefly reflected upturns in both manufacturing and mining production.
On an annual basis, industrial production rose 4.2% in January, notably up from December’s flat reading. Accordingly, the trend improved slightly, with the annual average growth of industrial production coming in at 2.1% in January, up from December’s 1.9% reading.
