Sweden: Industrial output growth broadly unchanged in December
Industrial output increased 0.4% in month-on-month seasonally-adjusted terms in December, which matched November’s 0.4% increase. Looking at the details of the release, manufacturing output softened in December, while mining output rose at a quicker pace.
On an annual basis, industrial production increased 1.2% in December, rebounding from November’s 0.7% fall and marking the best result since November 2019. Moreover, the trend improved modestly, with the annual average variation of industrial production coming in at minus 4.4%, up from November’s minus 4.6%.
