Sweden: Industrial production drops for the third month running in October
Total industrial production excluding energy decreased 1.8% in October in seasonally- and calendar-adjusted terms, down from the 1.0% moderation in September. October’s reading was dragged on by a sharper contraction in manufacturing output, but supported somewhat by an increase in output from the mining and quarrying sector.
On a year-on-year basis, industrial production decreased 3.2% in October, contrasting the 1.5% increase in September. Annual average growth in industrial production decelerated to 1.5% in October from 2.1% in September.
