Sweden: Industrial production growth remains solid in December
Total industrial production excluding energy rose a seasonally-adjusted 0.8% in December over the previous month according to Statistics Sweden (SCB), down from November’s revised 1.0% increase (previously reported: +0.9% month-on-month). The uptick was underpinned by greater output in the manufacturing and mines and quarries sub-sectors.
On a year-on-year basis, industrial production grew 8.1% in December, up from November’s revised 6.2% increase (previously reported: +6.5% year-on-year). Annual average growth in industrial production increased from 4.1% in November to 4.7% in December.
