Sweden: Industrial production declines in April
Total industrial production excluding energy decreased a seasonally-adjusted 1.5% in April over the previous month according to Statistics Sweden (SCB), contrasting March’s 0.5% increase. April’s figure was driven by contractions in both the manufacturing and mines and quarries sectors.
On a year-on-year basis, industrial production grew 3.2% in April, down from March’s revised 4.9% rise (previously reported: +6.8% year-on-year). Annual average growth in industrial production increased from 5.1% in March to 5.4% in April.
