Sweden: Industrial production falls in February
Total industrial production excluding energy dropped a seasonally-adjusted 0.8% in February over the previous month according to Statistics Sweden (SCB), contrasting January’s revised 2.0% increase (previously reported: +2.1% month-on-month). The decrease was driven by lower output in the manufacturing and mines and quarries sub-sectors.
On a year-on-year basis, industrial production grew 6.7% in February, down from January’s revised 8.8% increase (previously reported: +9.2% year-on-year). Annual average growth in industrial production increased from 5.1% in January to 5.3% in February.
