Sweden: Industrial production growth slows in August
Total industrial production excluding energy increased 0.3% in August in seasonally- and calendar-adjusted terms, down from the upwardly revised 1.8% growth in July (previously reported: +1.4% month-on-month). August’s reading was weighed on by flat output growth in the manufacturing industry, but supported by stronger mining and quarrying output growth.
On a year-on-year basis, industrial production rose 3.7% in August, down slightly from July’s 3.8% reading. Annual average growth in industrial production accelerated to 2.1% in August from 1.9% in July.
