Sweden: Inflation falls to lowest level since May in September
Consumer prices with a fixed interest rate increased 0.07% over the previous month in September, swinging from the 0.15% fall recorded in August. Looking at the details of the release, prices for transportation, and recreation and culture goods fell at a more modest pace, outweighing a weaker increase in prices for housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels.
Inflation came in at 0.3% in September, which was down from August’s 0.8%. September’s figure marked the lowest inflation rate since May. Annual average inflation fell to 0.8% in September (August: 0.9%).
