Switzerland: KOF Economic Barometer falls to six-month low in May
The KOF Economic Barometer came in at 90.2 in May, down from April’s 96.1. May’s result was the weakest since November 2022. As a result, the index remained below the long-term average of 100, pointing to a muted near-term outlook for the Swiss economy.
May’s fall was driven by worsening indicators from the manufacturing sector, financial and insurance services and foreign demand.
