Switzerland: KOF Economic Barometer improves in July
The KOF Economic Barometer rose to 92.2 in July from June’s 90.7. Consequently, the index remained below the long-term average of 100, pointing to a muted near-term outlook for the Swiss economy.
In July, the outlook for financial and insurance services, foreign demand and domestic consumption brightened. On the other hand, the outlook for construction activity and manufacturing worsened. Except those for consumption, all indicators pointed to a below-average economic performance.
