Switzerland: Inflation remains muted in July
Inflation came in at 1.3% in July, matching June’s figure and in line with the Central Bank’s target of below 2.0%. July’s figure marked the joint-lowest inflation rate since March. Lower transport price pressures were offset by higher food price pressures.
Annual average inflation remained at June’s 1.4% in July.
Lastly, consumer prices fell 0.18% in July over the previous month, coming in below June’s flat result rise. July’s result marked the weakest reading since November 2023.
