Taiwan: Inflation drops to lowest level since January in April
Inflation edged down to 2.0% in April from March’s 2.1%. April’s result marked the weakest inflation rate since January. Looking at the details of the release, prices for food and transport grew at slower paces in April.
The trend was unchanged, with annual average inflation coming in at March’s 2.4% in April.
Lastly, consumer prices increased 0.56% in April over the previous month, contrasting the 0.65% fall seen in March.
