Taiwan: Inflation drops in December
Consumer prices fell 0.21% in December over the previous month, contrasting November’s 0.24% increase. December’s result marked the weakest reading since March. The reading was driven by falling prices for food and transportation.
Inflation fell to 2.6% in December, which followed November’s 2.9%. Annual average inflation rose to 2.0% in December (November: 1.8%).
