Thailand: Inflation decreases in February
Inflation came in at 3.8% in February, coming in below January’s 5.0% and market expectations. The deceleration was driven by softer increases in prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages and non-food products.
The trend pointed down, with annual average inflation coming in at 6.1% in February (January: 6.2%). Meanwhile, core inflation fell to 1.9% from January’s 3.0%.
Lastly, consumer prices dropped 0.12% from the previous month in February, swinging from January’s 0.30% increase.
