Thailand: Consumer prices inch up in January
Consumer prices rose 0.09% from the previous month in January, following December’s 0.15% rise. The moderation was largely driven by falling prices for housing and furnishing.
Consumer prices fell 0.3% on an annual basis in January, matching December’s decrease. The annual average variation of consumer prices fell to minus 1.0% in January (December: -0.8%). Lastly, core inflation was unchanged for the fourth month running in January, coming in at 0.2%.
