Turkey: Business confidence improves
Business confidence in Turkey rose to 109.3 in February, a 33-month high, from January’s 107.0. Moreover, the index moved further north of the 100-threshold, as optimism among businesses grew.
The uptick in the headline reading reflected an improvement expected output, employment, and export orders in the next three months. On the other hand, easing sentiment regarding stocks of finished goods at present as well as views on order books in the past three months weighed on the index.
