Turkey: Business confidence records worst reading since February in September
Business confidence fell to 104.4 in September from August’s 105.0. September’s result marked the worst reading since February. Despite the downtick, the index remained above the 100-threshold, indicating optimism among businesses.
September’s decline was driven by lower orders and softer expectations of output over the next three months. That said, firms become more optimistic regarding the current general business situation, as well as with respect to employment levels over the next quarter.
