Turkey: Business sentiment sours in September
Business confidence turned into pessimism at the close of the third quarter, with Real Sector Confidence Index falling to 99.9 in September from 102.1 in August. As such, the index fell below the 100-threshold separating pessimism from optimism among businesses.
The deterioration was driven by greater pessimism regarding order books at present and the past three months, and stocks of finished goods at present. Furthermore, views regarding expected output, employment and export orders in the next three months became less optimistic.
