Turkey: Business confidence improves in April
Business confidence came in at 109.7 in April, up from March’s 108.5. As a result, the index moved further above the 100-threshold, signaling that businesses were more optimistic.
The uptick was driven by more upbeat views on order books in the past three months and increased plans for capital outlays. Furthermore, views on the stock of finished goods and the general business situation at present were less pessimistic. On the other hand, the assessments of expected output, employment and export orders in the next three months turned less rosy. Lastly, views on order books at present were more downbeat.
