Ukraine: Industrial output rebounds in March
Industrial production rose 2.1% year-on-year in March, contrasting February’s 4.6% drop. March’s rebound was driven by a broad-based improvement across all sub-components of the index: Manufacturing output rebounded solidly, utilities supply output grew at a quicker rate compared to February and mining and quarrying declined at a softer pace.
On a seasonally-adjusted monthly basis, factory output grew 1.8% in March, quickening from February’s 0.5% increase. Meanwhile, the trend improved, with the annual average variation of industrial production coming in at minus 4.0% in March, above February’s minus 4.7%.
