Ukraine: Inflation drops to three-month low in November
Consumer prices fell 0.54% over the previous month in November, following the 0.09% fall seen in October. November’s result marked the weakest reading since February 2020. Looking at the details of the release, the change in the prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages was largely steady in November, while prices for alcoholic beverages and tobacco increased. Meanwhile, transportation prices increased.
Inflation came in at 10.3% in November, which was down from October’s 10.9%. November’s result represented the lowest inflation rate since August. Annual average inflation rose to 8.9% in November (October: 8.4%). Finally, core inflation rose slightly to 7.7% in November, from October’s 7.6%.
