Ukraine: Inflation inches down in February
In February, consumer prices rose 0.9% from the previous month, which was below January’s 1.5% increase. February’s result was chiefly due to softer price pressures from transport, food and non-alcoholic beverages.
Inflation inched down from January’s 14.1% to 14.0% in February. Inflation has been stubbornly high in recent months due to strong consumer spending as well as rising prices for food and energy. Annual average inflation was unchanged at January’s 14.6% in February.
