United Kingdom: Industrial output dips in November
Industrial output dropped 0.1% month-on-month in seasonally-adjusted terms in November (October: +1.1% mom). The figure marked the worst reading since April. November’s reading was driven by deteriorations in all subcomponents of the index.
On an annual basis, industrial output dropped 4.7% in November, moderating from October’s 5.8% fall and marking the best result since February. Meanwhile, the trend pointed down, with the annual average variation of industrial production coming in at minus 8.5%, down from October’s minus 8.2% reading.
