United States: Home price growth accelerates in January
The S&P/Case-Shiller 20-city composite home price index increased 1.4% month-on-month in January, which was up from December’s 1.1% rise.
Home price growth gained impetus in annual terms in January, growing 19.1% (December: +18.6%). Home prices rose at the quickest rate in Phoenix—for 32 months in a row now—followed by Tampa and Maimi. Overall, all 20 cities registered double-digit price growth in January.
