Uruguay: Inflation decreases in November
Inflation decreased to 8.5% in November from Octobers 9.0%. Novembers reading marked the lowest inflation rate since January. The slowdown was chiefly driven by a softer rise in prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages and transportation.
That said, the trend pointed up slightly, with annual average inflation coming in at 9.1% in November (October: 9.0%).
Lastly, consumer prices decreased 0.28% in November over the previous month, following Octobers 0.21% increase. Novembers result marked the lowest reading since December 2018.
