Uruguay: Inflation continues to rise in February
Consumer prices rose 1.47% over the previous month in February, slightly stronger than January’s 1.78% jump. February’s softer increase was primarily driven by a weaker increase in prices for utilities and health, while prices for transport, and clothing and footwear rebounded.
Inflation came in at 8.9% in February, which was stronger than January’s 8.2% reading. Moreover, annual average inflation was stable at January’s 7.7% in February.
