Uruguay: Inflation falls to lowest level since February in June
Consumer prices rose 0.59% over the previous month in June, picking up from the 0.46% rise logged in May. The figure was primarily driven by brisker increases in prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages.
Inflation came in at 9.3% in June, which was marginally down from May’s 9.4%. June’s reading marked the weakest inflation rate since February. Still, the trend pointed up slightly, with annual average inflation coming in at 8.4% in June (May: 8.2%).
