Uruguay: Inflation hits two-month high in February
Consumer prices increased 0.82% in February over the previous month, which was below the 1.60% rise seen in January. The cooling of price pressures was largely driven by a more moderate increase in prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages. Inflation came in at 9.1% in February, up from January’s 8.9%, marking the highest reading in two months. Annual average inflation was unchanged at January’s 9.8% in February.
