Uruguay: Inflation remains stable in November
Consumer prices increased 0.25% over the previous month in November, below October’s 1.04% rise. November’s result marked the softest rise in prices since December 2020. The moderation was primarily driven by softer growth in prices for clothing, while prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages fell.
Inflation came in at 7.9% in November, which matched October’s reading. Accordingly, the trend pointed down slightly, with annual average inflation coming in at 7.9% in November (October: 8.0%).
