Vietnam: Inflation comes in at highest level since February 2023 in February
Inflation rose to 4.0% in February from January’s 3.4%. February’s figure was the highest inflation rate since February 2023. The figure was primarily driven by increasing price pressures for food and transport, as the Lunar New Year festivities spurred domestic travel and consumption of goods and services.
Annual average inflation remained at January’s 3.1% in February.
Lastly, consumer prices increased 1.04% from the previous month in February, accelerating from January’s 0.31% rise. February’s result was the highest reading since September 2023.
