Vietnam: Inflation rises in December
Inflation came in at 3.6% in December, up from November’s 3.4%. The increase was largely due to stronger price pressures for transport and education. However, prices for food and for housing and construction materials grew at a more subdued pace.
Annual average inflation remained at November’s 3.3% in December.
Finally, consumer prices rose 0.12% over the previous month in December, a smaller increase than the 0.25% increase seen in November.
