Vietnam: Inflation unchanged in May
According to the General Statistics Office of Vietnam, consumer prices rose 0.49% in May over the prior month, up from April’s 0.31% rise. May’s figure was driven by higher transport and housing prices.
Inflation was stable at 2.9% in May, remaining in line with the Central Bank’s target of below 4.0% inflation. Meanwhile, core inflation was unchanged at 1.9%.
